Hagelin's contributions to digital sound reproduction were evident in the formation of Enlightened Audio Design (EAD), a company he founded with electronic engineer, Alistair Roxburgh in Iowa, in 1990. [13]Working with EAD, Hagelin co-designed a high end digital to analog (D-to-A) system that was commercially marketed.
